What are some of the differences in schooling/classes from X-ray tech to Ultrasound and MRI (such as classes, years). Also, what are salary differences, work hour differences/job availability?

I am taking an online correspondence course for BCIS at Texas Tech University in order to get my mandatory technology course at King High School out of the way. Will the final grade of the correspondence course count on my transcript and GPA (some people i asked said no, I don’t know if they are right)?

i want a place that has enough stuff for me to do to keep me occupied for three months.

I am 19 years old and got charged with Grand Larceny and Conspiracy to commit Grand Larceny I want to go to school and take Radiography but I don’t want to spend 2 years becoming certified to do something I can’t do because of my criminal background. Does anyone know of anyone who works in this field or something like it, that has a felony one there record?

I am currently in school to become a surgical technician an I hope I am not wasting my time in this field if it will be hard to find work in. I have researched and it is a profession that is expected to grow alot but when I look on on hospitals career websites I see no jobs avail just RN I was gong to go to school to become an RN but the waiting list are forever the test to get int the program is hard and I want my education now may go for RN later but no time soon

right now i’m a CNA and sitll in high school. i’m working on my LPN as WATC right now. and then i’m going to get my surgical tech and WATC to.
am i going in the right way.
if i get my RN it would be a waste of time, cause they won’t hirer you

they can hirer you for cheap as a tech than as a RN

but i will later get it, i would like to teach when i’m older so i will get my masters in nursing
and ya i know they make the same!
but i’m not able to go to my surg tech school yet and i need to be making more than 9 an hour. and it takes less time while i’m doin my lpn.

i’m not fuckin stupid yah know.

I do not know what a MRI Tech is, but I think it is related to X-Rays. So can anyone tell me what this is? Also, any radiographers, radiologists,X-Ray techs can you all tell me what you do also? Also can you all tell me the risks in dealing with X-rays and the risks in your jobs?

I am interested in both of these programs very much and they both have the same amount of school. I would like to know which one gets pay more up front or in the long run? And which one have more job opportunities? Right now I am a legal assistant and I make $33,000 a year but I have always had a passion for the medical field and kinda bord with the legal field now and can not see myself doing this for the rest of my life. I now through time I will work my way up but with the medical field I know there is a need and more money than a legal asst. Which one make more Surgical Tech or X-Ray Tech?

I’m about to start a job as a biomedical technician at a hospital, I don’t if i will like it but the only reason I got into it is because of my electronics degree. I know I want to do something else eventually since the hospital will pay for me to go to school, but I don’t know what. I was thinking about being a X-Ray Tech, cause I know I don’t want to fix those machines forever. Does anyone know if X-Ray techs get payed more or less than BMET’s, or if the work is less stressful than a BMET, or basically would the move be a step up or a step down?

I have been looking into physical therapist assistant and radiology tech lately and had a questions. i have read that the x-ray tech makes more money, but from what i read i am under the impression that it is easy to find a job as PTA, while people who want x-ray techs want them with at least a couple years experience. any new grads out there as x-ray techs or PTAs can provide some info? will it be really hard for me to find a job as an x-ray tech? (i am in southern california if it makes a diff)

In rad tech school, this is usually a course. Why? I thought that most doctors find it unethical if you tell them your opinion. Also, I’m sorry, but I think that it is stupid that doctors can fire you if you tell them the obviousness of something, like a broken bone. If you don’t tell the patient anything, then how is it unethical?
please, radiologic technologists only. my question is stated about as plain as I can state it.

I live in Florida and will soon be starting school for Basic X-ray tech. I have been getting alot of mixed answers, whether this is a flooded career field or not? Has anyone ever attended a technical school with this type of certificate program? If so did you have trouble landing a job after graduating?
I’m sure it helps to become state certified (as with anything) but will it make me more employable?

If I want to enroll in an online Vet Tech course, do i need gen. study credits first ?
