A friend of mine wants to take either Pharmacy Technician or Dental assistant class but she’s still undecided. She’s not going to a higher level (e.g. becoming a pharmacist or dentist); therefore, she wants to know which career pays higher and will be stable in the future. Advices are greatly appreciated, thanks 
please just answer my question or better yet you don’t have to if you don’t have anything to say. Dunno why you have to suggest me to some website to make money.

In the state of california, Do you have to become a veterinary assistant before becoming a veterinary technician? Because at the pima medical institute they have both courses but i do know the veterinary assistant course is about 32 weeks and the veterinary technician is about 64 i think? And i was wondering if its a requirement to first take a course in veterinary assisting before take the veterinary technician course. And if anyone knows how much a Veterinary assistant and how much a veterinary tech makes an hour here in california.

Ok, here’s the deal, i’m a senior in high school. Next year i plan on going to a community college for generals and all. And for my career i really want to work in the dentistry field. I don’t want to be a dentist though. I have always wanted to be a dental hygienist, but i’m thinking that i want to go for a dental assistant now.. i know they get paid half as much as a hygienist but i think i would rather do that. What are the kinds of colleges that i would have to go to to achieve my career?? Tech?? State?? Also, is schooling for an assistant only one year? and should i stay at the community college for 2 years and then to a tech school?

Im thinking about going to school and doing a three month program to be a dental assistant I currently work at a daycare getting 330 every two weeks and dental assistants here get paid almost 600 a week. I always been interested in dentistry but my goal is to be a ultrasound tech.also the hours being a dental assistant are good and works with my schedule . I just started my basics and after that i still have two years of radiology. So i was thinking of doing dental assistant until im done with my ultrasound tech degree. What are you positive thoughts on this. I know dental and ultrasound tech are very different FYI.

From what I have encountered, they require a masters degree. However, In my state, there are not many jobs available for them. (I am still in high school) Yet, they are also Radiologic Technologists , but extended. So, can I keep my job as rad. tech, but use this degree to further my experiences and extend my career?

I have been in the medical field, private practice and have loads of great administrative & clinical skills. I have always wanted to work w/ animals and want to make a career change. There is not a vet tech/assistant school where I live. Is it possible to change fields and if so what is a good objective for this career change on my resume?

I recently enrolled in an ultrasound/cardiovascular technician school. It’s an accredited school in the city, right over the bridge from where I live. I’m not conerned about that. However, at the enrollment process, I was told that I didnt qualify to automatically get into the cardiovascular program bc I had no prior college credits. Therefore I either had 2 choices they said-I could go to a college (not there school, it’s occupational) & aquire the proper credits, then come back to see if I’d be eligible for the program-OR, I could enroll myself in there medical assistant program, obtain what I’d need to qualify for the c/v technician program thru that; And then after I finish the med assistant program, I’d qualify to go into there c/v tech program..I know a girl who did the same thing. She didnt want to go to a reg college to obtain credits so she did the med assistant thing first. I as well am going to do it..Has anyone ever heard of this? Real answers would be appreciated.

I cant seem to find a local school in the medical field, that offers night classes, my only choices are medical administration or medical assistant…I really wanted to be a ultrasound tech, or radiology tech but there arent any schools in fort worth….so would I make good money being a medical assistant or work in medical administration?
