Which vocational school is best for me?

05 Jun

So, It is between american career college in anaheim, uei in anaheim, or concorde college in garden grove, I am graduating from high school in June and I know i want to become a pharmacy tech.
I read so many reviews saying these schools are bad, I am the type of person who takes reviews into consideration, but mostly these reviews were criticizing these schools on training to become a lvn ( nurse), that is not what I am going for. I really want to make the right choice. To be honest, 2 or 4 year college is not for me, i rather stick to the career i want, I do not want to go back to the basic general classes again, please give me advice on any of these schools.
I am leaning more towards ACC. Thank you .

Which Tech School is the best for IT/Networking and Web Design?

02 Jun

I’m thinking about changing careers and I have always been interested in the IT/web design field. I don’t want to go back to a university, rather a tech school. I live in St. Louis and have only 3 choices: Ranken Tech College, Vatterott, or ITT Tech. A lot of information that I’ve been reading hints that ITT would be the worst choice. Anyone have expierence with the schools? Or know someone who has?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

I am a junior in high school and I would like to become a pharmacist, what school is best in the state of CA?

28 May

I have not taken any AP courses sadly. I have been researching and the best schools I have seen have been USC, UC San Fran and UC San Diego. Everyone has been telling me to go to San Jose, that they are a good pharmacy school? I know that because I haven’t taken any AP courses, that I would not be accepted into a UC. I would like to be a pharmacist, not a pharmacy tech, there’s a difference, correct?
PS I’m getting straight A’s now, since Jr year and I’m planning to for like the rest of my life.
There is no way I can just go to a college and get a major on pharmacy?

In education – what is the best path to administration?

24 May

I’ve got most of my background in retail management with a one year stint teaching computers at a vocational tech college. I want to teach university level, but I’m getting a very late start (I’m 34), and I’m not sure a PhD is in my future. I should have my B.A. in English by Summer 2008 and plan to work on my masters (in what exactly, I’m not sure) after that. I was thinking of teaching high school or even community college, but I’m not sure teaching is my long-term vocational calling. I think educational administration might be more up my alley, combining education with my management experience. I can move anywhere in the U.S. ONCE – we are open to where, but I don’t want to haul my kids around a bunch of different places. I’m wondering where I’ll find the best job market, and what educational path to take to get there. Thanks!
