I am interested in going into a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. My concern is, do I need to complete the Radiology Technician Program prior to the DMS program? Because a few schools/medical center that offers the DMS Programs like the UCSD medical center, one of there prerequisites prior to getting into the DMS program requirements: Prerequisite #1
Candidates must be a graduate of a 2 year program in either Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy or Nursing and passed the specific registry exam.
After reading that, I was a bit confuse. My main career goal is to complete the DMS program. Will my chances of getting a career in DMS be higher if I were to complete a Rad Tech program and the DMS program, or can I just take the DMS porgram? I hope this all make sense.

Do you think itd be plausible to live alone & be self sufficent, while finishing up a bach degree at a hardcore college like va tech? Or is that one of those things where you need the support of mom and dad until you graduate bc itd be too much to handle at once?

I will be in the Air National Guard. I know you get certified to be an EMT in Tech school but will i be able to get any type of civilian medical job w/ my tech school training?
