this is the letter

to the financial aid committee:

thank you for giving me the opportunity to write this appeal letter for my financial aid suspension due to exceeding the maximum attempted hours. throughout trying to pursue a career in computer science, i was going through some personal issues in my life and i was not putting all my focus on school. i started Greenville Tech right after high school in 1999 and i didn’t have any career goals set for myself. i attempted some of the required classes and they were challenging for me and i didn’t give them my all. so within that process in 2003 i took a break to reevaluate the true meaning of an education and now realize what a terrible mistake i have made. i am willing to make some changes of those mistakes. the steps that i have started to take and will continue to take to assure a successful academic progress in the future are:
1. i have enrolled back into greenville tech this past spring semester 2010 were i successfully received a GPA of 3.22
2. i am willing to cut back on any extracurricular activities so that i may have more time to study.
3.obtain a tutor for the classes that i may struggle with
4. go to the scheduled office hours of each instructor when i am having difficulty with the class material.
5. i also am helping in the community i help kindergarten kids that attend my church with their homework under the churches tutorial program.
these are just a few steps that i plan to take to complete the pharmacy tech program. without financial aid i would not be able to complete this goal being unemployed and economic hardship. i am ready to receive my diploma and become the next graduate of greenville technical college.i hope that you would be able to reconsider your decision of ineligibility for the summer of 2010.
