I got hired at a CVS pharmacy to be a pharmacy tech November 1st. I have not started yet and so far they have made me do 7 and a half hours of online training and the other day I had to go to what I thought was on the job training at another CVS (which was half an hour away from my home) however it turned out to be me and a trainer in a small conference room where she just lectured for 4 hours the same stuff I had studied on the online training then I thought I’d be able to start at the store I was hired (which is across my home) but the trainer told me that now I have to go a store on Monday which is about 45 minutes away from my home and do another online course and then they will let me know when I officially start. Plus my trainer told me the other day that the training is ongoing meaning I am going to be put to work then in 2 weeks pulled out to do more training and then put to work again and so on for about another 2 months.

My thing is this: I have become frustrated with the lengthy process I mean it’s been a month and 1 week that I got hired, I am also tired of being sent to these stores that are far away when I could be put in a store to train that is closer, and when I think about it I am not sure if all of this is worth the $8.00 per hour and ONLY 15 hours per week that I am being offered. What are your opinions? should I just stop while I am ahead and not go Monday?
